FOR A CAUSE is a dedicated non-profit organization founded by Ms. Lasya Priya and registered under the Government of Telangana (Reg. No: 91 of 2020). Originating from the heart of HITAM, we are a student-established non-profit organization committed to the cause of humanity.

Empowering women and ensuring the welfare of children is the core of our mission. We strive to be the helping hand that supports various aspects of humanity with unwavering dedication.

Where It All Began: A Passion That Grew Into Purpose
In the heart of Hyderabad, nestled within the dynamic ecosystem of Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management (HITAM), a spark was ignited in 2018. What started as a thought in the mind of a compassionate student, Ms. Lasya Priya, soon transformed into a movement that would touch countless lives—FOR A CAUSE.
Driven by a desire to give back to society, students of HITAM were actively seeking ways to contribute to social good. Many joined existing organizations, but time and again, they were met with disappointment—lack of transparency, no decision-making power, and unclear fund utilization made it difficult to create the impact they truly envisioned.
It was in this moment of realization that Ms. Lasya Priya asked a simple yet powerful question:
“Why not build something of our own—something by students, for society, and with complete transparency?”
Thus, FOR A CAUSE was born—a student-led, non-profitable organization officially registered under the Government of Telangana (Reg. No: 91 of 2020), with a tagline that fuels our journey:
“A Passion To Help.”

HITAM is not just a college; it’s a nurturing space that blends technology with values, academic excellence with community consciousness. Known for its emphasis on outcome-based education and sustainable innovation, HITAM fosters socially responsible individuals who believe in building a better tomorrow.
From the very beginning, HITAM’s management, faculty, and students have been the backbone of FOR A CAUSE. Their support has been instrumental in driving every initiative, be it blood donation drives, career guidance sessions, or fundraising events.
Whether it’s hosting awareness campaigns, setting up fundraising stalls during events like Gala Night, or mobilising resources for schools in need, HITAMites show up wholeheartedly. This partnership between students, staff, and the organisation is what makes FOR A CAUSE not just a team, but a family.
Since its humble beginnings at HITAM, FOR A CAUSE has grown into a community that believes in action, kindness, and unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment and the welfare of children. We focus on what matters most—improving the lives of those who need it, one heartfelt project at a time.
With a strong foundation in HITAM’s culture of innovation and value-based learning, and the support of both students and management, our mission has remained clear:
“Whatever you teach a child or do for a child, whether through words, actions, or example, lives on forever in their heart.”
We concentrate our efforts on reviving and transforming underprivileged schools with poor infrastructure, giving career guidance, conducting social awareness sessions and many other impactful events—because we believe that strong roots grow great futures. Every project we take on is a step toward a better, kinder, and more educated world.
