Blanket drives play a critical role in supporting vulnerable people and communities during difficult times. Many individuals struggle to stay warm as the temperature decreases in winter, especially those who are homeless or live in disadvantaged circumstances. Conducting blanket drives allows us to address this need by providing a basic necessity that can significantly improve the quality of life for those without adequate shelter. We For A Cause organized blanket drives to address this issue by collecting blankets and old sweaters as a donation from Hitam college students and faculty and also purchased more blankets to provide. Volunteers gather at a place and divide themselves into different groups to cover different areas. All the teams after distribution gathered at the same starting point. In the three years between 2019 and 2021, For A Cause organized blanket drives in areas where the pandemic was causing a lot of people’s suffering. A blanket can make the difference between a cold, sleepless night and a feeling of security and warmth for individuals without a solid place to call home.It’s essential to understand that vulnerability and homelessness can occur to anyone for a variety of reasons. Providing blankets is a step toward acknowledging the humanity and worth of every person, regardless of their current situation
